Katherine Rundell
One day teacher started reading to us
a book called “The Explorer” by Katherine Rundell. It’s a very interesting read
about four kids called Fred, Max, Con and Lila who crash- landed in the Amazon Rainforest. After two weeks of reading the Explorer, our teacher told us that
the author would be coming in to talk to us on Friday the 4th of
May.
In a
fortnight she came in, and talked to us about some of her other books she wrote
like “The Wolf Wilder” and “Rooftoppers” and how she ate everything and did everything
that she wrote about. Then she gave some good writing tips like you should
start near the end of the book and find something that will clear your mind, she
cleared her mind by walking across a small tightrope. She then helped us make
up our own small story. We then thanked her for coming and applauded her.
Thanks for reading
by Callum Whelan and Fionn Schurmann.
