Katherine Rundell
On the 4th of May the
best-selling author Kate Rundell came to our class. She has written 5 books
already, which are “The Girl Savage”, “Cartwheeling in Thunderstorms”, “Wolf
Wilder”, “Rooftopers” and “The
Explorer”. She has also written a movie clip called “Henry the Hedgehog’’. Her
favourite hobby is climbing on rooftops at 4:00 in the morning wearing black
[She is not a robber]. She also went to the Amazon where she ate a tarantula
and a piranha [which also ate the tour guide's finger!].
She helped us make the start of a
story about Barry, a random boy, and April an ordinary witch. In it there is an
army of Donald Trumps and killer clowns and it is based in LISMORE CASTLE! I
hope it becomes a real story. She told us a lot about her life and that every
day she walks on her tight rope in her office in her ballet shoes. She’s taking
flying lessons in a small yellow aeroplane. In the Amazon she met a sloth and
ate grubs. We think that the class enjoyed her talk and we thought that it was
very inspiring.
