Our Weather Station     

  This year we are doing a very interesting subject on weather. First we assembled our weather station. Next we screwed it on to a water bottle with stones in it. After that we put the weather station into a flower pot with stones. The gadgets on the weather station are called a thermometer, rain gauge, compass, wind vane and an anemometer. A thermometer measures how warm and how cold the weather is. A rain gauge measures how much rain is after falling. A compass points to the direction.  A wind vane points to where the wind comes from. An anemometer measures wind speed. At the end of the week we calculate the average temperature and rainfall by dividing the total by five.

Spikeball

Spikeball is a fun active game. Today was our first session.What you need for this activity is a volleyball and a net. First we learned two drills with our teacher Antonio.We passed the ball by throwing it high. Second we did the same thing but hand passed. Then we played a spikeball match.
                  There is a team of seven players, four on the court and three subs. We move clockwise when we we get a point. Whoever is at the top left goes off the  court and the sub comes on. You have to get three passes before you can serve. You hand pass it over the net. If they fail to catch, it is a point. We really enjoyed it and we hope you enjoy it too!

Science Week

We really enjoyed Science Week. Here are some of the experiments we did at school.
We checked our pulse rate before and after five minutes exercise.

Later in the week, we designed and made parachutes. Watch them fly!
